Was the K&K Daytona kit that was issued with the R/T door scoops re-released after the mold was corrected? I've always assumed that the Brooks release was the original mold with the door corrected and the headlight gate screen added but I want to remember that I'd heard they went back and released the Isaac car with the changes.
If they did, is there any way to tell which would be the corrected kit by packaging?

They did fix the doors at some point during the Isaac Daytona run. I can't remember if they also added the screen over the headlight door but I don't think that was added until the Brooks kit. I don't know of any way to tell from the box that the body was updated. |

Tom..(and all other reading).
How about the big " DAYTONA" across the box top..
vs the Charger Daytona version..
I had the 2nd version (corrected door skins) and the box
has the large Daytona on it...(just pulled it out and looked)
It was bought around 1973-75 range, mine also had the smooth
headlight covers.
Hope this helps.....Stan _________________ I Know That I'm Gonna Be Like This Forever,

That is one kit I would love to see make a "comeback", whether the #71 K&K/Isaac car or the #22 Dick Brooks version..... _________________ Ed. K |
