KS: And for 9 drivers, the jungle is here in Atlanta, Georgia! Who will wear the crown at the end? Hello, everyone, I'm Ken Squier alongside Ned Jarret. Welcome to the season finale here in Atlanta; the Goodyear 300.

NJ: And Ken, we've had 6 exciting races this season and, for 5 of those 6 races, Darth Vader has managed to hold the points lead. We saw a great performance from the L.A.P. 1 team last week with Lee Loggins getting his first win this season and there are only 4 points separating the top 3 spots.

KS: The 2018 Fantasy Cup Series champion is about to be decided in 200 laps equalling 300 miles! And now we take you trackside for the opening ceremony.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, please rise for our national anthem."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqq7ALCDGFc

"Race fans, giving the most famous words in motorsports, let's hear it for this year's Best Looking Car award winner, driver of the number 71 Realtree Chevrolet, Ricky Marcis!"

RM: Drivers, Start your engines!

Green Flag

KS: And we are underway here in Atlanta! And already, Loggins making a huge move to the inside in turns 1 and 2 from the 5th position! The pole sitter Hick Strutlin remains neck and neck with his owner JR Sealey as the make their way down the back stretch for the first time.

NJ: And I think Vader took a look at that and said, "that's a good idea" because he just picked up 2 spots off of turn 2.

KS: Out of turn 4. Hick Strutlin will lead the first lap by a car length.

Lap 31

KS: Loggins continues to draw a bead on the 46 Pontiac of Sealey. The veterans not giving an inch in the early going of this event. Loggins steps back in line and Sealey holds onto 2nd.

Lap 67

NJ: Ken, I think Georgia's got a little something for the 96. She'll give him a little bump and he's gonna sail right past her boss.

KS: I think she's gonna give him a bit of a fight too. She looks for a run off of the outside of turn 4 but can't quite make it stick.

Lap 100

NJ: Trouble, turn 2! That's Darth Vader and the 71 of Ricky Marcis! Hard into the wall for both of them!

KS: And at the halfway point of this event, the points leader goes out of the race. What a heartbreaker as he was steadily working his way up through the field.

NJ: Ken, it looks like the 6 gets by on the inside and just clips the 71's nose.

KS: And both go headfirst into the SAFER barrier. Both drivers now out of their cars and walking to the ambulance.

Lap 105

KS: And the green flag is out once again! The top 3 drivers, Loggins, Sealey, and Strutlin all taking 2 tires while the rest of the field took 4.

Lap 157

KS: What an amazing season the 71G team has had. Georgia, the rally driver from across the pond, putting those 4 tires to use as she powers past the 46 car of the man they call Razorback.

White Flag

KS: And it's all come down to this! Loggins and Georgia side by side into turns 1 and 2!

NJ: Ken it looks like a parade lap between those 2 because neither of them are budging.

KS: Still side by side down the back straightaway for the final time in 2018. Loggins on the inside, Georgia going high in turn 3! They come off of 4! The 71G Buick with the run! To the line! Georgia wins the Goodyear 300! She's the new Fantasy Cup Series champion for 2018.

NJ: Loggins put up a heck of a fight for that spot too!!

KS: Razorback Motorsports will round out the top 4 with Hick Strutlin ahead of JR Sealey.

NJ: And the last 3 cars in the race will be Rob Stofel, Edward Carl, and Merling Starlin.

KS: And Darth Vader, the points leader going into this race, out after an altercation with the 71 of Ricky Marcis, they'll take home 8th and 9th respectively.

NJ: A whole season of twists and turns and it all comes down to about half a car length between 2 of the top points sitters!

KS: Indeed and was it a battle for the ages or what? With that, for Ned Jarrett, I'm Ken Squier. Thank you for tuning in for the 2018 Fantasy Cup Series season. Congratulations to the champion Georgia. We'll see you next year!

Congratulations to Georgia for the great race and championship. Super proud of the L.A.P.1 team in a fine second place points finish. Also big thanks to Razorback for bringing the race action to us all.
