KS: Well it may not be summer just yet but it's about to get really hot in the state of Indiana as the Fantasy Cup Series comes to the Montpelier Motor Speedway for the Applebee's 200! Hello again, everyone, I'm Ken Squier alongside my colleague Darrell Waltrip and we're about to go dirt racing for the second time in 2018.

DW: You know, Ken, when you think of racing in Indiana, you think of Indianapolis but the real heart of racing is on these little ovals. So we're about to wind'em up, turn'em loose, and watch the dirt fly!

KS: And with that, we go trackside for our national anthem and the command to start engines.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please rise and remove your hats as we honor America with the singing of our national anthem!"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvf81y3lTUw

"And now with the most famouse words in motorsports, Indiana's own Charlie Glotzbach!"

CG: Drivers, start your engines!

Green Flag

DW: Boogity boogity boogity! Let's get a little dirty, drivers!!

KS: An all Razorback Motorsports front row and they sail through turns 1 and 2. The 2013 champion with the advantage but only by half a car length.

DW: And the laps go by so fast at a 1/4 mile. You don't have much time to think.

KS: And Georgia going high in 3 and will try to crossover but her buss will slam the door and lead the first lap!

Lap 48

DW: Holy cow! I don't know how but the 88, the 6, and the 96 just went 3 wide off turn 2 and nobody ended up in the wall!!

KS: Stofel with the advantage as he puts Lee "Spud" Loggins and Darth Vader in 4th and 5th!

Lap 80

KS: And how about that Levi Garret Ford of Strutlin. He carves his way through that pack and takes 5th!!

DW: I think ol' Hammer Dog must've found something after qualifying.

Lap 115

KS: And Loggins making a bid for the lead on the 46! Sealey to the outside and Loggins takes the spot!

DW: And now he's got his hands full with Rob Stofel!

KS: Sealey tries to throw a block and they touch! The 46 slides through the infield! That'll bring out the yellow for the first time.

Lap 120

KS: And we are once again underway here in Montpelier. Loggins with a great restart over Rob Stofel.

Lap 167

KS: And look who's fighting his way up to 3rd! Hick Strutlin has his teammate Georgia in his sights. He'll make a move to the inside.

DW: And she get's a little loose. Hick picks up another position!! What a run this guy has had from the back of the pack.

Lap 191

KS: The battle for the lead continues. Stofel drawing a bead on the Chevy of Loggins.

White Flag

KS: One lap to go. One more chance. Stofel to the inside. They come out of turn 2 side by side. Stofel glued to the bottom! He'll hold of Loggins to win the Applebee's 200 here at Montpelier! Hick Strutlin will finish 3rd followed by his teammate Georgia.

DW: Vader's gonna come home in 5th, Edward Carl and Ricky Marcis will be 6th and 7th.

KS: Merling Starlin and JR Sealey will round out the field in 8th and 9th.

DW: Talk about from the penthouse to the outhouse and vice versa!! The pole sitter finished last and the last place guy fights his way to 3rd. And Rob Stofel gets his first win of 2018! What a ride!

KS: That it was. And with that, we thank you for tuning in for the Applebee's 200 at Montpelier Motor Speedway. For Darrell Waltrip, I'm Ken Squier. We'll see you next week for the Jim Beam 101 at legendary Laguna Seca!

Awsome run by the L.A.P.1 racing team for a second place finish. Much better than last week. We keep digging and we will win one of these things soon.
