I keep on reading about stretching the AMT TBird chassis for cars like the Bandit Resins Montego. OK, where do you stretch it and what do you use to fill in where you cut?

These kits are cheap so I use two of them, cutting between the firewall and the rear tailing arm support. Cut a long rear half and a long front half adjusting to get the WB you need.

That's how I do it, and you can always use the short halves for a mini stock.

if you can find one, stick a Johan Torino chassis under it. Perfect fit. Rearend isn't perfect, and with a little carving, AMT smallblock fits great. Thats what I am using for the Bandit resin. PS I thought the hoods were flat, it's amazing what you can't see in a photo. I would have bet money on it.

I have one but it's partially assembled and I painted it black. I'm saving it for the Bobby Allison Torino from MCW. If I get brave enough I'll try the cutting the AMT chassis trick.
