Hello everyone!
Does anyone have a source for a good tutorial for an absolute amateur to creating window glass?
I'd prefer something simple and easy as I'm definitely closer to the beginner level of modelling- and I don't have any real special tools like a heat gun, etc. |

Hi
No tutorial but my own advice:
For windows where curves are not too tight, I cut from scrap packaging plastic. I'll star by using a piece of heavy paper to make a template, and trial-and-error fitting. I glue in small strips on the inside of the left and right pillars for holding the glass in place FIRST - then the window - being flexible packaging plastic - can be flexed a bit to pop right in. No cement necessary. You get a scale-correct optically clear result. Zero cost.
This is easiest of course for flattish shapes. Some - like the back glass of a '64-65 Plymouth or Dodge - would be difficult if at all possible with this scrap method. _________________ Bill Jobson is my real name. |
