Wes’ kit with Tamiya paints and Hurd Hobbies detail parts. I modified the kit body side panels to more closely represent the real car. Not too bad for my first attempt at this. Really love these kits.

Nice build. Excellent first try at one of these (I've heard) hard to build kits. Nice detail work as well. |

Beautiful work on this one and the Fleming car! I love these kits too, which will you do next?
I saw on Wes's weekly video that he has a new sprue of corrected parts that will be in future kits and available for sale on it's own. It has a more detailed and slightly wider front shock piece to fix the fit issue with that, new front and rear engine mounts, nose piece with a correct radiator tunnel, one piece rear axles with more pronounced mounting notches and a couple other small parts. Looks like just what the kit needs to help with the few issues it has. |

thanks for the information, Dan - I wasn't aware he was working on parts updates. I'll be on the lookout for them. |

When I moved up to southeastern New Hampshire in the spring of 2016 and started attending the races there I saw Jon McKennedy race for the first time and told all my racing friends back in the Carolinas that he was the best race car driver that no one down south had ever heard of yet. |
