Gotta love working with 30 year old kit decals. Had 2 sets and needed them both to finish. Got the decals on and cleared. I just had to put it on my mock up chassis for a sneak peak. Not perfect, but will do. I really wish Mike (powerslide) would give some love to these Buicks but given the kits shortcomings, I understand why. Now on to finishing the chassis

Got the body work finished and in primer. Here it is on my mock up chassis. pretty happy so far. I wish there was a good set of Snickers decals or a set of Stanley Smith’s Interstate Batteries decals available. Thinking of trying the kit Snickers decals with the blue numbers. Guess I’ll see how that goes😬

So while I was waiting on some chassis I painted to dry I thought I would cast another 91 Buick nose. I also thought about adding the lower angled sections to the rear quarter panels. Here it is mocked up on my test fit chassis. I think I’m happy with how it looks and sets.

Thoughts?

Nice work. Not sure they're much better than the kit decals, but didn't JNJ do the Snickers decals....great, now I want a candy bar!

Very Happy - yes the JnJ set had white numbers - probably better than kit decals however.

The Allison Miller Buick had the older nose on it, like what was in the kit to begin with. After his injury he fielded a team with the modified style nose sponsored by Raybestos.

What if to use this nose on a fantasy build? That grille remained up until 1996, so a slabside Cup car too.

I have seen online a slab Regal, was a re-body for road racing.
