A local race car from the mid 1960's is being restored to be put into a local collectors hands for museum display. It is rumored to be an old H&M chassis that did extensive duty in the early ARCA and USAC days. Attached are some pictures of the restoration and a picture of it back in it racing days. The black and white pictures in from an ARCA race where the car was driven by Ken Reiter. At that point it carried the number 88. It was extensively campaigned by Bobby Watson who was a Kentucky boy who spent many years in Mooresville as a fabricator for many top cup teams. He also drove for Ranier racing driving Dodges. Old style hand painted lettering and all the fab work done be a team of old local racers. Good to see the old warhorse alive again.

That's a great looking restoration! I love old race cars, if they could talk what stories they would have. Are there any interior shots?
