Drying time.

The flexy hollow tyres in the Monogram kits I have cleared with TS Clear.
But 12 hours in a dehydrator and a few days of air drying, still a sticky surface.
Will dry eventually or should use an acrylic clear?

The process i use is this-

Paint wheels and backs (you can drill the holes for the backs out slightly and cut down the axle mounting pins for a little bit better “tuck” under the fender

Insert wheels and wheel backs

Apply decals

Dull coat the tires with a coin covering the wheels (a dime works the best for most, the new BBS ones require a nickel)

I then use some Tamiya weathering dust (usually “soot”) to knock down the brightness of the lettering

Bingo bango, lookin’ good!

So, tried an acrylic clear and still was a sticky surface.

Clear stripped off and decals laid onto rubber, laid okay👍 I thought that they would not stick or peel off.
