Now that could be a fun build or a nightmare.

Did they confirm 1/20? Smart move if so.......Resin Indy kits are being made in Japan @ 1/20 so you sell in that market. Thx

If the "new" Earnhardt Monte Carlo is going to be $55, I wonder what these will sell for? Might buy ONE just for the heck of it. Not really "open cockpit" anymore, but at least they took off the back half of the rear "fenders"!

I'm already saving my money, but as mentioned, what's the price point? $65? Whew, may not be getting extras......Very excited about them, but I'll start with one before jumping all in.

One would assume by the picture, it's Penske, Gannasi, and Myer Shank.

If they do well maybe Andretti, McLaren, RLL, etc will be added later.

Has anyone heard anything about if they are curb side or full engine?

Guess It's why we'll need to check back this week.

I bet curbside as the Chevy and Honda engines would require different tooling.....or just tool a Chevy and put it in the Ford and Toyota like someone did. Rolling Eyes

Not announced. But it's no secret it's going to be 1/20, confirmed by two insiders.

Expect even more Dallara decals from IndyCals beyond the current offerings.

MSRP $80!!!! each........well I'll get one........I still have 40 Tamiya F1 to build....many I bought under $10.
Thanks for info

PS: the MSRP for all stock car kits going forward is $55......including all the vintage Monogram kits.

PSS: On the Salvinos pod cast' or whatever you call it....there was some bad info. This is just a FYI...not slamming folks. It was stated that the only Javelin kit in 1/25 was made by AMT. AMT NEVER owned any Javelin tooling. Amt did lease tooling of the 1970 and 1971 Javelins, race and stock, from Jo-Han Models Inc. They also talked about a AMT kit of a Penske Javelin Trans Am race team. That was never made. AMT did a Chevy van, trailer and a Matador race team under 'Penske Racing'.......never with a Javelin.

They also stated that ALL Jo-Han tooling was gone. Then they admitted that there was some still out there but it was all trashed. Kinda true. While working in the biz I was part of 2 groups that looked into the Jo-Han tooling. Much of it is trashed....missing inserts and such. But there is a number of kits that are intact. Most of these do not fit into Salvinos line.......but not ALL Jo-Han tooling is junked.
We made an offer on some tooling but did not make a deal.
Thanks

That's steep for what will undoubtedly be a banana warped chassis and parts that don't fit (like the modified).

There will be speculators buying kits to sell on EBAY trying to make a quick buck. Patience usually pays off in these situations.

I guess I should've quoted what Rick said.

Quote:

Hi fellow, Salvinos JR Modelers just thought I’d let you see some of the work that my partner Jim is up to. We should have a full car to submit to INDYCAR in the next week or two but it’s looking great. I can’t wait to build this one. We are taking pre-orders on our website. salvinosjrmodels.com
Thanks for all your support
Rick

They'll be a lot. For sure 2023 indy 500 winner and Sato car.
But Indycals already has a bunch.

Just for a little perspective on the retail price of the Indy kit......
BEEMAX is doing a F1 Brabham BT52 all new tool in 1/20 scale with a retail of $35. BEEMAX is a small company but does some great kits.
FYI .......but I know I will get the Brabham kit.
