..would anyone know if anyone besides Arrington ran the 74 Roadrunner in Cup?
I've stumbled across one in my junk box.
I'm good with doing the Arrington car, just wanted some more pix.
I have 2 photos to work from, I'm not looking to do a detailed model, just a shelfer.
In fact, it s been started using one of the old MPC chassis, I'm probably going with that or a PL chassis, any thoughts?

For oddball cars I check Riverside first.
This is Gary Matthews, 1977.
And as for the chassis - you'll want a torsion bar front suspension, similar to a Petty or Nichels setup. That's if anyone's going to see it...

You will need a flat hood for your build. The MPC 73-4 Roadrunner kits come with the power bulge hood. You can get a flat one from Harts Parts Resin. Or you might be be able to adapt one from either the MPC or Salvinos 71 Buddy Baker Charger kits.
For a shelf model, the Polar Lights chassis would be ok, but the best choice would be to use a Revell 68-70 Charger or the Daytona chassis and add the racing stuff or go all the way and modify the front end to a fabricated "K" frame.

I recall that same car was also driven by Ray Elder in the same timeframe. Also several USAC teams ran the 1974 Roadrunner.
