...the email I received this week talked about the Ford Licensing, but the last sentence said to stay tuned for another announcement in the next few days.
If I read between the lines, is that message the Toyota agreement or another of the Ford teams, Stewart/ haas, Roush/Fenway?
Or the re-issue of some of the old Monogram Ford tooling?
Just speculation at this point, but maybe they are doing a Mercury?!πŸ˜…πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€”

I'd hope they acquired a blanket FORD License that will allow them to use the FORD Monogram tooling they have on hand. A dream wish is they retool the 1983 Thunderbird to correct the doors, wheel wells, front bumper and headlight doors. Then I'd buy a few. A straight reissue is no good to me....I think I still have 20-25 of the Monogram issued Bird.

With Ford licensing and Penske/Wood Brothers on board, maybe we finally get a Pearson Mercury? I’m hoping! And I agree with Dave on the corrected β€˜83-β€˜86 T-bird.

I agree, I'd rather have more AMT t birds than another re-issue of the Monogram mess, at least you can convert the AMT kits to late models and toss the bodies . Laughing

A Salvinos Mercury would mean cutting a new body as they do not have a Merc on hand that I know of. A Pearson Wood car is best done with the RC2/AMT/MPC body and a Salvinos or PL chassis.

I have zero confidence Salvino's could do a Mercury and have it look like it's supposed to. They just can't do it.

i hope they don't. i don't want them touching any more monogram kits after what they did to the gm kits.

What, no Blaney kit? I hope they at least make decals for a couple of them.

They said they were going to do Blaney's after they get his 2023 paint scheme.
So they will be doing his as a 2023 car and the other Two as 2022 cars

Sounds good. I hope the Penske cars keep the more polished aluminum looking wheels, then the graphite looking ones most of the other teams use.

A big shout out to Salvinos JR Models for their perspicacity - yes, guy! perspicacity! - in making great choices for NASCAR kits.

They've now sold out 10 of the 63 releases shown on their website. Wonderful. I'm feeling quite good now about having jumped in pronto for the sold out '71 Petty Plymouth and Charger kits.

Continued success with further releases.

the roadrunner kit isn't worth the box it came in. all of you raining praise on them should look at their inability to get simple designs right and their lack of detail, and correct measurements and proportions and their poor attituded to their customers and deaf ears to suggestions

This thread can only go downhill, and I don’t think any of the mods want to babysit it over Christmas, so I’m locking it now.
