A late 50's Masters Special this time driven by Tommy Rowe. Don't Really
know much about Tommy or this particular car. Ran in the tall skinny truck
tire era. Expect the car was to heavy to be very competitive. Probably one
reason it was relegated to the "south fory" while it looked like there was still
a few races left in the old sedan (my theory).
A little research & I came up with the sponsor graphics, although the last pictures
of the car show only the numbers.
AMT 34 Ford sedan. MPC slammer modified frame & quickchange rear. Small
block Ford engine (revell). BigDonkey resin tires & rims...

A common sight back in the early 60's. Cool looking modifies rusting away.

Not familiar with that one...

My current project is a 2X4 that ran on a "promotion night" at the speedway.
Sponsored by #1 radio station in Florida. The "Big Ape" in Jacksonville !!!

I enjoy looking at these old cars and the models made of them. Interesting paint scheme on this one. Nice job!

Only photo I have ever seen of the sedan as raced.
Weird rear cow catcher bumper on the car. Sponsors
changed often. Was sponsored by a local liquor store
but decided to leave off the bottle.
Also a typo on my part. Not "Type M Morors" but should
have been "Try M Motors".

"Tom Relaford's Point" was a mainstay liquor store in Jacksonville. And
a long time car sponsor at the speedway.

But not ar all familiar with "Try M Motors"
