Hi all,

I’ve been away from the hobby for about 20 years!

I’d like to get back into it…so basically starting off as a newbie.

I’m new to the Tampa area / central Florida

I’m looking for advice on GOOD model shops to try for paints, detailing parts, etc

Also…any recommendations for GOOD websites for the same…

Any advice is appreciated

Thanks!!

Tony

Rbmotion.com

Has lots of detail parts that are machined metal… take a look when you have the chance if you really want to dress up your stuff with small details.

Spotlight Hobbies is another good source to buy kits.
Model Round Up is excellent for paints and supplies also. Whenever I have ordered Tamiya products from them, they were always in stock.

Have "Hobby Lobby" in your area? Have most everything I need for model building.
For older models if that's your thing, can't beat EBAY. Plus they have everything else a model builder may need.

I try to buy local first, to avoid shipping charges...

Bear Hobbies down on Cypress in Tampa (he's on Facebook) has been around forever. Great to deal with, has a good selection of kits/paints. Hobbytown in Brandon is pretty good as well.
