Is the nose on Allison's Talladega as raced, to me it looks way off especially with other pics of Talladega's and Cyclone's I have seen. Please give me your thoughts on it. |

That nose on the torino definitely caught my attention as well. Looks pretty aggressive...... _________________ Dennis

The Allison Torino is a pretty car, I'd own it.....
But if you look at vintage in race photos of Torino T's......Big Bill would never allow that car on his track. I do not think any Torino T had side windows like that, flared fenders up front. I'd like to know what they did to the front end.......looks VERY different than in race vintage car. |

I'm thinking the #27 car is a King Cobra |

You can really see the orange come out on that #71 car. |

Looks like a few of them have been “modernized”, i would guess for some sort of vintage racing group/series. _________________ ON DECK/IN THE WORKS: too many started to list...

Just me, but I think we should not focus so much on the accuracy of these cars but think and hope it will inspire the young kids to learn and enjoy the past history of NASCAR.
Great looking cars! Thanks for posting |

Yeah that nose looks radical cant remember who rebuilt it but the inside looks like newer cup chassis than as would back in day. Only one had issue was the 42 Marty Robbins car it looked more Camel yellow i thought it was bright yellow or even neon yellow? |

I agree somewhat, but if your going to study history or even call it history it must be true when you try to chance history you end with things like so many people believing something like the holocaust did not happen. Its sort of like when the wars winner is the only one writing the history it is not the true story but skewed to their point of view. So with NASCAR writings and visual history it must be the truth.
Actually I have always wondered if you going to all the expense of cloning a car like this even to vintage race it make it as it actually was done back-in-the-day with the exceptions of modern safety features for racing it. |

Biggest gripe I have is when a replica/clone like this suddenly "becomes" the REAL car and is advertised as such. That's a sore point with some of us old timers.
In other motorsports you can't get away with passing off a replica as real, the Formula one, Indy Car, and Drag racing people did a much better job over the years of documenting specific cars and where they are or what became of them. Nascar?....didn't care. |

The 27 and 71 are definitely "resto-mods." |

the 3 71 and 27 are not the real deal as far as hot they looked in NASCAR. They were built by some guys trying to make the car go fast. You can watch Youtube and check them out pretty neat but not how these cars looked like in the 60's and early 70's. |
