Is there a way to create your own grill tape or is that solely a decal thing?

Thanks in advance!

I have used automotive pin striping tape. Lots of colors out there and you can cut it to any width. Burnish it down with a cotton swab and you can still see the grill details. I have brush painted some satin clear on to tone it down. If you know someone at a body shop you might be able to get some left over pieces.

I've kept all my decal leftovers for the past 30 years and so I use decals for tape.

I've used a vinyl tape which comes in multiple sizes and colors made by Chartpak. I get it at a well stocked office supply. I believe it was developed for use in drafting and graphic arts trades. I've seen it at our Office Max too

That’s a good idea. It may take paint too?
