Dale Wood Mustang T/A: AJ Foyt drove this Dale Wood Mustang in the first Trans-Am race at Sebring March 25, 1966. Foyt was leading when he retired the car due to a blown head gasket. The car was destroyed in wreck at Green Valley May ‘66. Dale Wood states he ordered the sedan from Carrol Shelby but the SAAC does not recognize the cars as a Group II Mustang.

About the Model:

• Body - AMT ’66 Mustang Coupe

• Wheels – Holman Moody steel wheels, Polar Lights Mercury Cyclone
• Tires – Goodyear Stock Car Specials, Johan NASCAR and Javelin T/A,

Awesome build JC.
I have followed your w.i.p. and learned so much.
Great detailing, great modifications, great paint finish, decals etc.

Excellent build. Trans am doesn't get enough attention from us modelers. Lots of cool Mustangs, Camaros, Firebirds, Javelins, Challengers and Barracudas competed over the years.

Thank you.

The original Trans-Am series is one of my favorites. I've done an AAR Cuda and have a '64 Falcon project 90% complete. I hope to do a few more T/A projects in the future.
