I've looked at a lot of pictures but don't have a definitive answer. Was David Pearson's Chattanooga Chew cars chassis gray or black ?Looking to build the 82-84 rides. |

A quick glance through my UMI NASCAR Yearbooks for 1983 - '83 does not help much, with only a few photos of Pearson's car from a distance. It looks like a darker interior, either grey or black. Sorry I can't be of more help. |

Billy Kingsley built the #03 Chattanooga Chew Regal and it has a black interior. He builds nice stuff and I bet he researched it. Do a search on this forum to see it. |

SCR Magazine did an article of when Pearson was putting together his race team with Larry slated to take the wheel. the cars in his shop showed Black dash and cage with Grey for the tin work. Most teams started going away from black interiors for leak tracing and it had to add a lot of heat the driver didn't need. |
