A sportsman 37 Ford LeeRoy drove in the early 60's for Louis Weatherbee.
Don't know anymore about the car other than what can be seen in the original picture. The owner was also a driver.
Revell/Monogram 37 Ford. PPP tires/wheels. Scratch built roll cage from .062
Evergreen rod. Flathead Ford engine, not sure which kit its from.
No really good pictures of this car. Just this and one other I could find. |

Thanks, a model like this is so easy to built. Even with a lot of detail.
All one color. The revell model is more or less a modern day hot rod out of the box.
Have to change the front & rear ends to single spring types. Make the bumpers out of scrap plastic, and do a fairly realistic roll cage.
Not really sure what engine was in the real car but felt safe using a flathead.
Used the same decals I used for the 55 Chevy #22 I posted earlier.
This 37 Ford & the 55 Chevy had the same car owner. |
