Hello all…I was curious about everyone’s favorite and non-favourite decal brands. Which ones to avoid…which ones to recommend. I have had good luck with Powerslide but after a year some are starting to wrinkle around the egdes. I don’t use any future floor wax or microsol. I used Slixx once with good results. One set of Wetworks that were good. MPR look good but lots of times they require two layers (which they provide). The entire sheet is one large decal so you must do a precise cutting job. I still would recommend. Just used two sheets from Three Amigos. Some were triple layered but had great results. Highly recommended. Lots of others I haven’t tried…any other brands to recommend or stay away from?

Another good producer was JNJ. They started with the big Monogram boom in the early 80's and were the main ones back then. Did a lot of Busch Grand National cars and lesser known Cup drivers. You will need to provide most of the front fender markings. I still use them as they have held up well over the years and offer some neat choices.

Powerslide/Ace have always been impeccable for me. Never had peeling or ghosting issue. I make sure I apply on a smooth glossy surface and use microset as well as sealing them with Future.
Least favorite by a long shot are JNJ. Maybe it was old stock but I tried them 3 times with seriously bad results like yellowing, not lifting off the sheet or breaking up.
