I'm planning to eventually build a late 80's W body era Petty Pontiac like in this shot. I'll be using the Monogram 88-90 kit. I prefer this versions original nose & bumper shape + the simpler scheme and black wheels on it over the more elaborate and well known 1992 'Farewell Tour' colors which have been covered by several decal makers. From my initial research, the color schemes on 88-90 Petty cars are all very similar.
I was not sure which decal sheet might be best as a starting point here? Has anyone build a Petty car from this timeframe and if so which decal sheet(s) did you go with?

Look at the Power Slide (Mike's Decals) for the Gran Prix Aerocoupe. It would have the Oakwood Homes decal and the Carrington on the pillar that you would need to rearrange. |

Thanks JH.
I was looking at the Petty options from Power Slide and thought that one might be the closest sheet?
Looks like Mike will be seeing another order soon. |
