For the inaugural event at WWT Raceway (aka Gateway). Only really going because it’s in my backyard and i went to all of their initial inaugural events when the track opened (BGN, NHRA, IndyCar) and i haven’t been to a Cup race since it was Winston Cup (1998 fall race at Charlotte).

I am honestly more excited for the dirt events being held at Tri City (Pontoon Beach IL) leading up to it - back-to-back-to back nights featuring World of Outlaws late models, USAC midgets, and Castrol FloRacing late models.

Wonder how many of those that Larson, Bell, Briscoe etc will run?

Had to take the week off work for everything!

Anyone else have big racing plans already laid out for 2022?

I'm longing to see racing again at Michigan. Great facility, great racing with multiple high-speed grooves through the corners.

But until Covid becomes a footnote, not likely. Not with the high percentage of unvaxxed in rural Mich. Just asking for trouble.

Would also love to see racing back at my all-time favorite track, Rockingham. Best place to watch a race. New Hampshire would be another fave. Dover, too.

But not until Covid levels subside. Already lost a friend to it. I've had my booster shot and probably thinking I'll need a fourth shot before attending any race next summer or beyond.

Dying to go. Just not willing to die for it.
