I love the tires and wheels you make for different applications of nascar race cars. I was wondering if you ever considered making tires and wheels for seventys, eightys, ninetys and 2000's nascar race cars. I have borrowed tires and wheels from different kits to build other cars and now I want to go back and build those kits but I dont have tires and wheels for them. I'm sure you could make some awesome ones and I wouldn't be the only one buying them. Just throwing it out there for discussion. |

I did exactly the opposite. I stole the chassis from the older AMT NASCAR kits and put PPP wheels and tires on them. I gave the NASCAR bodies and glass to the slot car guys and threw the wheels and tires in a box. _________________ Dennis

If you know someone who resin casts, you can have then make molds off of a set you have. You can also dye the resin black. The treads sand real nice too. I did that when I had access to a friends equipment. |

I would rather get them from P.P.P. I don't want to cast my own and I know they make great wheels and tires. Plus, some kits don't have very good kit wheels and tires. I have a Bobby Allison 72 Monte Carlo kit but the wheels and tires don't look correct at all. It's been keeping me from doing a build with that kit. |

I'd love for them to start producing the 5 hole Clement wheels the Petty's ran. They already produce the slotted Weld wheels, but they're just a little too different (slots are longer and not enough dish) to pass off as the Clements for me.
Totally agree with Mark about having modern tires and wheels, they would be a great swap for the Revell Gen6's since those were too tall and the cars sit like 4x4's. _________________ Joe Oteri

Thank you, Joe. glad to know I'm not the lone ranger on this idea. Hope P.P P. will think about it. |
