I am about to start an AMT Impala snap kit and ordered a replacement resin front air dam from Mikes.

What kind of prep does this piece need before painting? There are no instructions with it.

i just scrubbed the Camry nose with a toothbrush and some blue Dawn dish soap...

then lightly scuffed it a bit with some 1000 grit right before i shot the primer on it...

that's as far as i have gotten.

I've never had any issues with those resin noses for the Impala. I always just glued them on the body, Primed it all and painted it. He does a good job cleaning them up before selling them.

What glue did you use? I'm about to start one also.

Super glue or 5 minute epoxy is what you will want to use to adhere the resin to the plastic. I prefer super glue as it is less messy for me.
