|
|
This represents the first appearance of the RC Cola sponsored Bud Moore Torino at Riverside in 1974. George Follmer driving. It was daring for RC to get their logo on the roof in place of the car number, but to compete in the event, Bud had to duct-tape a '15' over the logo.
Johan body over a '90s AMT Tbird chassis. I screened over the stock grille and headlamp openings. Decals were part Powerslide, part my own design, inkjet printed. Salvinos tires and PPP wheels.

Sweet! Great looking stance and detail. Really digging the windshield sun visor band!
Well done!

Love it Bill.
Particularly impressive is the way you integrate very lifelike body mods such as the flared front fender openings.
How did you do the side window, tail lamp and license plate cover sheetmetal trim? It looks so real!
Stance, paint and detailing is all so beautiful.

Thanks! For the metal sheet pieces, I used the thick foil from the inner seal of a coffee can (Chock Full O Nuts!) and used foil adhesive glue, coating both surfaces as per the directions. It is a good metal foil. The plastic laminated kind do not bend to shape. _________________ Bill Jobson is my real name. |
