Something new from my workbench:

Tiny Lund´s ´59 Impala. Reference pics of this car are hard to find, so i don´t really know,
if he drove an Impala or a Biscane.

Thanks to Dave Van for the cool decals! They are still in great condition after all those years
of storage. The six-lugs are from PPP.

Hope, you like it!

Thanks for watching.

Cool love those big “land cruisers”.
Saw Tiny race many times, from Daytona to short tracks
From Florida to Maryland. He was almost a “regular” when
I lived in Jacksonville on the 1/2 mile clay track. Always raced
A Ford #55 (orange & white).

Very nice! I have a '59 Impala kit - haven't decided yet what car to build.

Congratulations Michael for such a beautiful build.
I am stunned by your ability to impeccably finish all that chrome (paint of BMF?)
Paint finish, decals, stance and all the rest is just perfect.
I can see this car moving swiftly from the showroom floor to the track. Real stock car racing!
..applause ..applause ..applause

Yes, a Hallmark Homes car, but he would usually bring a 61 Starliner.
He and “Tiger” Tom Pistone would tour the southern short tracks as a pair.
Pistone in a 64 Ford #59.
Tiny the “giant” & Pistone not much over five feet tall…
Fun times at the Saturday night short track.[/u]

Yeah, i know there is a friendship between these two completely different guys. A saw a funny pic in a Nascar book where Tiny is lifting up Tiger Tom on his arms without any trouble Very Happy Very Happy
I´ve started the Pistone ´64 Ford a few weeks ago, but i ruined the clearcoat.
Will start a new paintjob in the near future...

I was a big fan of Tiny.
Once on pit road Tom jumped up on the rear deck of the 59, then the roof, and into the air. Landed on Tiny’s shoulders like it was planned!!!!
Tiny was always good with the fans. Still have his autograph from 1970.

Joe, these decals came from Yesterdays/BSR.

Very hard to find, almost impossible...

Excellent build. Always loved the big winged Chevy's of 59 and 60. I still want to do a 59 chevy convertible someday.
