I've finally got around to getting the kit from Mike's and I wonder if anyone's tried to fix the odd slope from front to back. Any ideas?

Check here. Talks a little about using the Mongram Buick roof.

Unfortunately I could never get the nose and tail to look how I wanted so this project has been shelved. The nose is so bulky and square, it's almost impossible to remove enough material and keep it in some sort of proportion. The rear bumper is just as bad.

The roof was the least of my problems using the Regal body, but I wasn't a fan of how square the back window opening is compared to the real car.

If you raise the center section up and then make the front windshield fit flush, it greatly improves the look. Whenever I can get home, I will finish up mine. It's been sitting on the desk since December.

The nose does need some work, too. On the second one I do, I will address it. Luckily the car I plan on for the first it doesn't look that far off. It all depends on the paint scheme and decal placement.

I can live with the roof, but I’m begging you to work on the front end first. I can tweak things pretty good on most models, but every time I take this one out of the box to study the look I end up putting it back because there is no obvious way to shrink the massive area between the tip of the bumper and the wheel opening. I’m going to try it first on a resin version with a Grand Am nose as soon as I can get that nose.

I think I'm getting there now...

The grille and bumper were seperated with a razor saw

The grille was glued to the body and then the bumper was trimmed to fit

The rear bumper ends were trimmed and glued to the body and the gap was filled with Perfect Plastic Putty

I've not tackled the front fenders yet.

The roof I grafted a 90's thunderbird roof, still body working it. gives it some shape. I'll take a few pics later.
