It was 1960's Ford Poppy Red.

The same 5 digit PPG color code was also used for '70 Calypso Coral (Ford) and '70 Competition Orange (Mercury). They recycled the color under a different name but it's the same formula as '65-'66 Ford Poppy Red.

Trivia: Foyt adopted the color in '67 when he was racing USAC stock cars in the Banjo Matthews #27 Fairlane which was painted Ford Poppy Red. Both Foyt and Banjo continued to use that color for years afterward.
