Hi All,

I really want to just get SOMETHING FINISHED! Laughing haha

I have not built an actual Pro Finish kit before so I pulled this one out. Some detail painting, and a strip and coat of paint to the body. Don't know WHAT to do about the wheels, I can't scrape the black paint off a wheel that is molded black! Laughing

Gonna be Bill's Last Win at Homestead.

(the chassis in the background is for my Said Fusion and is from a '05 Taurus glue kit)

Looking good Bill!! thumbsup I beleive Jordan(Indy) mentiond to primer the wheels white or grey and then paint them black. After the paint dries scrape down till ya get to the primer and then Sharpie red or yellow. I hope that made sense and maybe it might help. idunno Very Happy

I tried that method on the Grand Prix but I ended up scraping right back down to the black plastic. I just had to freehand the red to the wheel rim with a tiny brush. Great start on the Charger, Bill!!

I'd put down the white (paint or primer), clear, and then paint the black. This way you have safety layer! Nice to see your builds Bill - I think you finish a lot more than we ever see Very Happy

On those wheels, try using the JWTBM or Slixx wheel stripes. I've tried a couple times to just sand through the top layer of paint, and I think the agonizing wheel stripes are easier! Shocked

Thanks, Dennis. The red is Duplicolor Paint Shop Performance Red applied straight from the can with the airbrush. No clear or buffing, yet.

Looks great. Try the wheel stripe decals, pain in the Brian France but do work. I cut them in 3 pieces, much easier to apply, but have to use a optivisor. Laughing

Hi Digger,

Seems I have to use the optivisor a LOT more lately! LOL!!

I will go with the Slixx or JWTBM stripes. Very Happy (and the optivisor! LOL!)

HI Mick,

I am very partial to red (and orange) race cars! Most of the cars I have owned over the years were red (or red interiors!) and I painted a few red after I bought them...... some kind of sickness I guess. Very Happy

Hi Jose,

Can you post some *more* pictures of Bill's "Last Win" car? I was not at The Rock for that one. Crying or Very sad I am thinking about doing that one, also. I have some MM noses and tails to graft on and would like to do one with an open trunk. Shocked it's been about 15-20 years since i did that. Embarassed
