Ha Ha, both are front wheel drive, but the Mona had a V8 installed sideways at least.....

Finished this one a bit ago, but thought it would be fun to post it here as I don't believe I have shown it anywhere yet. My first attempt at an old AMT kit - didn't look pretty in the box in raw plastic, however I am surprised at the result.

Just getting warmed up again!

Smooth build.

I personally like the AMT kits both as builds (we can all build Monogram's with our eyes closed) and for parts harvesting. Glad the decals held up for you.

Hey thanks guys, the real paint color doesn't show to well on these photos. And the decals were pretty easy to lay down, with clearcoat over the whole body - needed for sure on the day glo red color.

I cheated that left front wheel out there (I really cringe on the real cars with the positive camber while at rest) as it fills the wheel well nicely.

I agree, the AMT kits build up pretty nicely and have good parts.

What specific colors did you use? I have an upcoming build of the Brickyard winning Lumina. I have the Tamiya fluorescent red and was debating the blue.

And it’s “Monte” not “Mona” 😉

18 degrees. I used krylon from a small spray can. Crazy but it only says “cap indicates color”. LOL.

However. It appears it may be the same as the can of 3101 “Glowing Red Orange”.

Whether this is correct or not is not confirmed.
