|
|
Which engine version is correct for the race version?
The single carb
or the 4 2 bbl carb set up?
also for the race version, did these run with the low cut wind screen and tonneau cover or the full windshield....

The Weber carb intake was used for racing. I believe the full windshield was most common. |

You should be able to find decal options on ebay. The Cobra competed in several different configurations. Not sure how involved you want to get in building an accurate replica.
I've built a few.

Thanks for the info. AFX
Most likely will build them mostly out of the box.
Also have 3 of the Monogram Cobras..
1998 Monogram # 2764 Shelbv Cobra 427 S/C
1989 Monogram #2798 427 Cobra Street
2005 Revell 85-2828 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C
The 2 427 S/C versions only have a single 4bbl carb set up, no Weber carb setups, or were the 427's only allowed the 4bbl carb set up?
The Monogram kits I've had for a while.
Had one of the AMT kits a while back, but sold it. So recently managed to scrounge up 3 of the AMT kits.
Yes, the Ford vs Ferarri movie sparked my interest again, along with coming across to articles in old issues of SA also helped spark my interest... _________________ Ed. K |

Yes the full competition Cobras ran a single carb with a cold air box. The S/C (semi-competition) were free to run anything they wanted on the street.

Thanks again, AFX
For the info, pic and link..
The Monogram Street Cobra does not have air scoop on the hood like the other two kits do....not a concern for me, as I want build one street version for both the Monogram and AMT kits. _________________ Ed. K |
