I am at a standstill on the Charger Daytona so I decided to do some work on my Monogram 1994 Winn Dixie car. I de-chromed all the parts that weren't suppose to be chrome and they are now red plastic. I put some of the engine together and started painting. I figured the block a steel color and the bell housing and transmission aluminum color. I also painted the headers a jet exhaust color.---John

The engine is done. I used the exhaust pipe assembly to set the proper distance apart and off the center of the transmission for the headers.---John

I started decalling. They are old kit decals and want to break if handled too roughly. They also have lots of goo on them. They remind me of the old Airfix decals when put in water this substance like Elmers glue would turn the water white with lumps of glue, I guess. I have to patch the cowboy's face on the hood decal. A piece broke off and was lost.---John

Looks great! The headers are really striking. What brand of paint did you use for the jet exhaust color?

Rob I used a mix of gold and silver to make the jet exhaust color. I used
the Testors enamel small square bottles, it may have been 50-50 mix.
