I read somewhere on the gt40s.com message board that the 1966 LeMans GT40 MkII factory entries (Shelby & H-M) were all painted 1966 Mustang colors, for obvious promotional reasons. The #1 was Arcadian Blue, #2 was Raven Black, #3 was signal flare red, #4 was Emberglo, the #6 was nightmist blue poly, etc. I'm not sure about #5, they offered a couple of metallic gold colors that year.

The color I used is : MOTIP 45160 I dont know if you have this color brand in USA .
I saw that I post picture of the GT40 just before she was finished (Rear race number not completed and front headlight black around screen )……

Yeah, its a "continuation" series car, running a Roush motor, impressive to see and hear in person though |

Only some of the 68/69 MKI’s were painted in the unique Gulf blue & orange colors. As mentioned above the 66 MKII’s were regular Ford passenger car colors and the dayglo markings were added for the Lemans race to help identify the cars quickly from the pits. |
