Looking for info or suggestions on an AMT or MPC 1969 Dodge Charger 500 kit, or what's available from individuals or suppliers.

MPC repopped that one several years ago in street version, shouldn't be too difficult to find at the usual sites.
The older General Lee kits had the correct body mods but had the standard Charger grille.
The street version fits the old MPC stock car chassis with only minor modification s to the wheel well opening and the usual removal of street parts. |

Also, if you run across an AMT Charger Daytona, ($15-$45 on ebay) it has the grill included to build a 500 version instead of the Daytona. I'm willing to bet at least as many were built as 500's due to the mods required up front to make the Daytona look even close.
