started and finished everything but the paint and decals over the winter and JUST finished up tonight... got sidetracked with other projects... still have a #7 Hooters 'bird that i did the same thing with, chassis is finished and the body is primed.
anyway, this is your run of the mill Fusion glue kit with Model Master Italian Red lacquer and Tamiya black, chassis is Tamiya Insignia White. Decals are a mishmash of MPR, Powerslide, and something from a Stoney's sheet. The superspeedway splitter, front and rear springs (sits pretty low in the back, dontcha think?), shifter, and seat are from Shapeways. I added the superspeedway rear "box" from plastic strip. Tried to get the window ducts & braces and the grille tape accurate, since this scheme only ran once in 2018, at Talladega.
on with the show, and comments are always expected and appreciated.

What’s the chassis color on these?
Kit directions say white, haven’t built a model in years, and always used a light gray. Kit directions also say to do rear suspension white but it’s always been black or silver. |

It’s a fairly light grey, i mentioned in my OP that i use Tamiya Insignia White, it’s part of their AS aircraft line. It’s a pretty light grey. I do my suspension in both Insignia Grey and flat black. _________________ ON DECK/IN THE WORKS: too many started to list...

Thank you. Wanted to make sure I hadn’t missed something too obvious in a little while. |
