Haven't seen anything about this in a LONG time. The built models went missing when the track got hit by a tornado ( or so it was said).
Has the trail went cold?
Did the builds survive?
Are they buried in a back office file box?
Did anyone who contributed to the display ever get anything back?
Unsolved mystery? |

I built two for the display. Never heard another word about it. _________________ life is hard, it's harder when you're stupid. John Wayne |

I suspect one of two things or a combination of the two.
1. They were thrown in the trash.
2. They are in somebody's basement. _________________ Dennis

Before the 'Great Forum Crash' there was a thread on this subject. I don't think we ever had a real answer. In the trash or someones garage is my bet too. |

The builds haven't surfaced on ebay, one would think if they ever did they would be noticed and identified as such by the builders if no one else.. |

Years back Atlanta Motor Speedway asked model builders to sign up and build a model of all the race winners at Atlanta. Modelers picked their car, built the models and shipped them to AMS to be placed into a display. The display was completed and some time later AMS was hit by a tornado. The display was said to have been damaged in the storm and after the damage was repaired to the building, the display and most importantly the models were gone. Questions were asked where the cars went, but no answers were ever supplied by AMS officials. Left lots of modelers shaking their heads..... _________________ Dennis
