Always wanted some accurately modeled carbs, there are some out there! This is the engine for a 68 Mercury "W" nose I am working on.

Well, we know they didn't come from the Polar Lights box? Look's great, I gotta believe that's going to be an air cleaner-off build. A set of in scale photo-etched hood hinges would compliment the detail in those carbs beautifully.

Where did you get those? I recall the Monogram Pro Stock kits of the 80s had some beautiful carbs. Which car are you building and who's body are you using? Looks like a fantastic start. _________________ life is hard, it's harder when you're stupid. John Wayne |

The carbs are from Fireball Modelworks. Way more detail than any kit carburetor. Pretty much 3D printed and injection molded in plastic. They even say Holley on the front of the float bowls.
The car I am building is a Bud Moore car driven by Tiny Lund and the body is one of Terry Barton's. My chassis is nearly done and the body needs decals, BMF, bumpers and windows. Should be done soon. |

Those are very realistic looking carbs. I'd love to see your car when finished. _________________ life is hard, it's harder when you're stupid. John Wayne |

Southern Motorsports Hobbies has a "W" nose Mercury listed. The ones I have are not available any more but the SMH one seems to be. I have never seen one from SMH so I cannot comment on how it looks. Pictures look good... |
