Guys, my dollar store super glue tubes aren’t cutting it for final assembly anymore. Half the time they work great, the other times they barely stick or leave a white haze. What do you guys use?

For super glue I have gone 100% blue cap Gorilla Super glue. Bought some when I was in a pinch....found it to be great stuff.

I've been using the Hobby Town super glue the last 2 times I've needed any. It's expensive, but leaves no haze, even with kicker. They have 3 different consistencies/thicknesses and it's on par with the super glue I used to be able to get at the PPG auto body supply store. It comes in a large bottle and I store mine in the beer fridge. Storing in the refrigerator helps it last longer, at least with the better stuff. Can last for years if you are diligent.

I have had good luck with the Bob Smith Industries BSI glue which is often sold as sort of a private labe at hobby stores. To prevent the haze, you can use the Fume Free in the gold bottle. The blue top extra thin sets quickly and I like to use it with the Glue Looper for precise application.

I also had good luck with Jet brand CA glue, but it can be hard to find.

I've gotten to where except for temporary tacks while fitting something, I use Permatex Super Glue Gel for anything needing CA. Found that it gives me a little wiggle room time-wise, locating small parts. One thing I have started doing is if I'm using it close to the kit glass (windshield clips, etc.) I put it in front of a small (12") portable fan as soon as I locate the piece in place and leave it there until well after the gel dries.
A friend showed me with a few pieces of scrap windshield how well it worked just forcing the vapors away.
