Which AMT chassis?
The Ford one (Motorcraft)looks to be the wrong suspension? |

AMT 90's era kits, like Thunderbird, has the correct GM truck trailing arms and Ford type single control arm fronts. I have a resin body Olds 442 using it....perfect. |

What Dave said. However, since I didnt have a Ford kit, went with the GM chassis. I would seriously reconsider if Ihad it to do over. Many issues with the chassis width, track width, etc. Required narrowing the rear. Flaring all 4 fenders etc. The passenger door is VERY thick for some reason. Required grinding the inside for cage clearance.
All that aside, I'm soldiering on, and I think it will end up looking pretty slick if I dont blow it. If I build another one, I'll simply graft a front clip on the kit chassis and figure out something for the rear suspension.
