So I'm gonna be building a version of Dale Earnhardt's 1989 Monte Carlo Aero Coupe and need to know what everyone is suggesting for a color match to the silver around the bottom. I am assuming most people are not using the kit decals for this and the majority are painting the silver using the red stripping decal between the black and silver.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Tamiya Silver Leaf has done great on all I've used to do those cars.

That would be great since I intend to use Tamiya TS-14 Black for the main color. Wink Did you use the kit stripes after you sprayed the two colors?

the power slide sheet is wrong. the separation stripe is not the red mike has on the sheet. it should match the chassis color which is an orange red. just a heads up there are some sheets out there with the right color but may be for a lumina or newer monte.

Appreciate the heads up. Being that I a not really a rivet counter, I think the standard Powerslide sheet should suffice. Wink

It actually looks pretty red and this is the car I am duplicating.
