A bunch of pictures involving a man named Cotton Priddy. He raced motorycles for a while then switched to cars. Raced on the beach at Daytona and in N.C. with Nascar back in 53/54 and was very successful locally. Some of the pictures involve a short lived racing series where they raced Crosley's indoors in an arena setting, again in the early 1950's. Cotton was killed in a crash in 1956 in a NASCAR race at the Memphis-Arkansas Speedway. Pictures are courtesy of Cotton's son Tom who is the driver of the tri-5 chevy in these pictures. Many of these were taken at the Jeffersonville Sportsdrome that still runs a weekly racing program.

The Hanley car with the rainbow stripes on the sides appears to be one of the cars originally intended for Dick Trickle. |
