Paint and decals are done.

Now on to the the rest. This will not be a full detail model as it is one of those old AMT Chevelles with the wrong chassis and over sized roll bars, etc.

I just have had these decals forever and really like this scheme and wanted to do it. It will just be something to fill a spot on the shelf.

Like you, I always liked this paint scheme. I agree with eveyone else- ain't nothin' wrong with a shelfer! Most of my builds are shelfers however, I do try to get my builds as accurate as possible, I just don't have the patience I used to have for super-detailing. Also, eyesight, and dexterity ain't what it used to be. For example, I'm now using reading glasses AND an Opti-Visor and I tend to drop pieces that somehow seem to disappear into thin air.

Absolutely nothing wrong with super-detailing (some of the folks on this board build some of the most incredible builds I've ever seen.) I would encourage everyone to build the way YOU want to and the way you ENJOY the most. As for me, I now seem to enjoy more building simple shelfers than I did building for contests.

Keep it comin'! She looks great so far!

Bobby
