Color? Looks like it was a plain Dark Red no metallic. What have you been using for Folgers Red? Was thinking Testors Flame Red might be close.

I've always perceived that car as a wine colored, almost maroonish, metallic but otoh, I only saw it in person a couple of times and from the stands so it may very well be solid.
I wonder if the Folger's red was the same on the Hendrick #25 as on the Roush cars. Like a corporate color. Also, it doesn't help that the color in question looks waay different depending on lighting and other factors in the various pics I've pulled up of them.

I always assumed it was the an attempt at the color of the old Folgers cans, not the plastic things they use now.

I did find the RGB for a color called Folgers red...

RGB

For what it's worth, Model Car World has the Hendrick and Roush cars as two different colors. The Hendrick cars were more of a maroon color, while the Roush cars were a metallic dark red.

I recall the Tim Richmond # 25 Folgers paint to be a basic brown - red color, while Schrader's ride sparkles more. Perhaps it had metalflake added ??? John843 is right about the colors being light - dependent. I have a partial back - lit shot of the Richmond car at Riverside; the dark side is brown.
