Question regarding the shade of blue on the AMC red, white and blue race cars. I've noticed the shade of blue seems to vary from a dark blue to what I would call a more medium blue. Is there a protocol as to when each is appropriate? Perhaps based on the racing series or the model of the car being raced?

72, when I did the Coke Matador re-issue some years ago, I used Tamiya French Blue. Looked right to the eye for me but like you said, it may have very well varied over the years and different cars. Don't think I'd go much lighter than that though.
