So, for many years, I've wondered what artist(s) did Monogram get their old box art from? Some of them look like they could have been Sam Bass but others' styles seem a little different.

were done by a friend of Bob Johnson, kit designer at the time for Monogram. I cam't recall his name right now but it was not Bass. When I remember I will come back a post. Seems his name is on the first Elliott box.

PS....on the DW box.....at the exhaust....David 'something'???

Upon closer review it appears to be David Land. Google finds an artist by that name who was originally from Michigan, now living in AZ. Probably the same guy?
