Posted before the change in website.

Had my built kits packed away for a move to middle Tennessee, happy to unpack them and finding they are all unscathed.

Earnhardt Goodwrench 1989 Monte Carlo Aero. 1st year for white numbers. Raced only half the season as Monte Carlo, Chevy teams switched to the Lumina body halfway through season.

Monte SS aero is one of my favorite race cars ever, looks fast sitting still.

Monogram 1988 Monte Carlo Aero kit with using Powerslide decals, scrathbuilt roof rails and massaged front end. Few extra details to replicate 1989 version. This somewhat represents the short track car.

That's one car i never get tired of looking at. My favorite Earnhardt car by far. You did a fine job on that build,

I like the roll bar padding, how did you accomplish that? I'm not an Earnhardt fan in the least little bit, but that's a fine build.

Thanks for the kind words Dave .
Padding was made by using electrical heat shrink tubing cut down the middle.
Small dabs of CA hold it in place. Black electrical tape sliced very thin replicate the snap ties.

Outstanding build! Considering I have been tossing around the idea of building the same car meself, this has simply motivated me further and given me some great tips and idea for my build.

Couple questions if you don't mind...

Did you preform any body mods other than the roof rails?
How did you do the roof rails?
What color did you use for the chassis/cage?
Did you use the silver and red part of the decal sheet or did you paint that part of it?
What you use for the hood/decklid pins?
Those rims certainly don't appear to be the kit ones so was wondering what wheels/tires/brakes you used for this build?
What did you use for the grills?

Thanks man!!!
