I have always used Green Putty. Be careful, it will actually fuse plastic to plastic. However, its dark color on white plastic makes it easy to see where to sand and fill.
For example:
If I am doing a 94/95 T-bird, to give the appearance of a one piece shell, I will take scotch tape slightly above and below the two pieces that need filling. I use a small pocket flat-head screwdriver to kinda fill the gap as I go around the bumper cover, Then when it is all filled, I slowly pull the scotch tape up and just a line of putty remains where the gap is.
CAUTION: This stuff is designed to "fuse" the plastic to ease with sanding and filling, so that's why I use tape to mask off where I don't want putty to fuse. Same process for rear bumper cover under TV panel.
Hopes this helps! |
