When did the roof antenna's appear? Some car's also have two, why and when also?

I can't give you a full rundown, but I do know I replicated this detail on a couple of late '90s/early 2000 builds I did based on pictures of the 1:1s: Dale Jarrett's 1999 and Bobby Labonte's 2000 Championship cars. Hope this helps until someone can provide a more thorough answer.

Common in the early 80's for all big team cars at least. Believe even back to the early 60's and late 50's there are some pictures with antennas visible.

Any antennas visible on NASCAR Stock Cars in the 1950's would have been the AM Radio antenna!!! Laughing

I know some cars had them in 1980.
