Here's the kit. I only paid 8.99 with a 40% off Hobby Lobby coupon obtained from their website.
I tried to remove the paint with Super Clean but it did not work very well.
I switched to 95% denatured alchohol and got much better results.
I'm now ready to sand the body and add the front and rear spoilers and also change the quarter glasses from a Chevy to a Dodge.
I'm going to leave the hood shut and keep the interior and frame box stock. I'm mainly going to try make the Chevy look like a Dodge and update the front and rear spoilers to what they are running in Cup right now. I'm also going to have to make my own decals because the ones available to do this car are 1/24th scale and will look way too big on this 1/25th scale body. _________________ My photobucket:

| you'd be surprised....I make 1/24 lionel 'scale' sheets...did the Biffle Pure Michigan scheme he ran at MIS...had a guy ask for AMT scaled 1/25. All I had to change was the hood and the roof ever so slightly..everything else fit great. |

Just a tip for stripping these bodies, let them soak in the alcohol for a few hours or overnight. By doing that, it will pretty much strip the body bare, with little to no scrubbing. _________________ Jason

You have to cut the front of the frame off and glue it back later to change the front end to a current cot.
First you have to remove the raised headlamp areas. The Dodge is flat here. I tryed using a course sanding stick but it was taking forever.
I switched to just scraping them with the edge of a #11 blade and it went much faster.
I drilled holes where the putty will go to help it adhere better. Also cut out the square opening in the middle lower half of the front end.
Added the Squadron white putty where needed for now.
Added the lower strip, leaving just the edge of the old splitter showing.
Will have to wait till Thanksgiving to proceed. _________________ My photobucket:

After watching the race on Sunday and checking my reference pictures I am going to have to extend the splitter out just a little. _________________ My photobucket:

I can see the Charger taking shape. Great work! _________________ "You can tell that you’re in trouble when you feel the air on the back of your neck instead of in your face." - Buddy Baker |

Did some more sanding but still not quite right.
Added some more putty . Hopefully just one more sanding and I can move on to finish the rear spoiler.

You got it going. Looks good,
Have you ever tried brake fluid to clean paint and decals.? It works great, place models in tub like you did fill with break fluid to cover model. Till paint start to bubble, (time will vary) when it does scrub off, stuborn spots soak again. when clean just wash with soap and water, cleans all nook and creases, and beauty of it seal containerwith lid and you may use the fluid for other models. at least two or three times until real dirty. Just a tip you might want to try.
As for the dodge it looks real good.
PM me ill be casting the front grill and air damn along with hood for that kit. Have window template and window material. it should be done in about a week. I also carry other detailing parts, like duct work and coolboxes,
Keep up the good work, Luis |

I made some diamond shaped pieces of styrene to splt but not break for the spoiler braces. After installing I added some putty to make them more uniform. It looks like the braces are not symetrical side to side and the reason being is that the real cars braces are not symetrical side to side. _________________ My photobucket:

Just need to putty the quarter extensions and enlarge the fuel intake hole and add a fuel filler. After that I should be able to prime the body _________________ My photobucket:
