Being true to myself i can never rush a build....hahaha But i would like to say i have finally put the finishes to this one. Decals were great to use and would use, these being Museum Collection, paint was just Tamiya TS, and the clear was Mr Hobby. Basic build with everything closed up, just added some belts and of course the speedway version rather then the road course.

Magnificent!!!! Beautiful finish. Please tell me more about the clear you used. You may have seen my question about clear coats in the Modeling Discussion section and the finish you obtained on this build is what I'm after. Great job Shunter! Thanks for posting and keep'em comin'!

Thanks guys for the comments. On this one BW I used Mr Super Clear UV Cut straight from the can. I had a friend bring a Leyton House F1 car around and loved the finish. This is sprayed over a few hours and the final coat was done the next day. My friend suggested mist coats and especially to make sure the decals didn’t fry up so I held the model at arms length and just turned it into the mist, as each one tacked off I’d do it again. Y friend uses micro mesh after a few coats to blend the decal in, I didn’t.
I’m a 2K person but wanted to try this and I sprayed mine in high temps seeing it was summer back then.

Great build, love the tire and seat belt detail. Nigel was a good driver but I prefer an Andretti name on those N/H Kmart cars Laughing
